My elephant for a week

Here's a little story I made up to practice for writing UIL.

Friday, April 18
The strangest thing just happened! I now have to keep an elephant for a week! Tomorrow is my birthday and I got and early birthday present from a random person! I taped the card in here so you can see what it looks like.

Happy Birthday!
You get to keep my pet elephant,
Joe, for a week! On April 25th ,
please bring Joe to Grand Central Station.
There you will meet me and hand me of Joe.

Saturday, April 19
This is the worst birthday EVER!! Joe keeps making droppings, digging in my Dad's football peanuts, and stepping on everything! Some Random Person, why me?

Sunday, April 20
I can't wait till April 25! If Thursday doesn't come soon, I'm going to sell Joe to the circus! He just stepped on my I- pod, and yesterday he stepped on my new I-phone 5G!! I really hope he doesn't ruin anything else! Maybe I should sell him to the zoo.....

Monday, April 21
You don't know how much chaos today has been! This morning I had to go to school, and my mom maid it clear that she wasn't babysitting any elephant of mine, so I took him to the zoo to stay until school was out. I also asked the bus driver to drop me off at the zoo after school. He just sneezed on my head! Eww!

Tuesday, April 22

Let me make this clear. NO DIGGING IN THE REFRIGERATOR!! It's bad enough Joe sat on the fence, but now he's eating my dinner! All I can think about now is Thursday! Thursday! Thursday!

Wednesday, April 23
I had the weirdest dream last night! Joe ran away, and I was the size of a giant, and my family was gone! Tomorrow! Tomorrow! It's only a day away!

Wednesday night, April 23
I can not sleep for three reasons:
1. I am free tomorrow
2.Joe is pocking me with his trunk
and 3. I've been so focused on Joe that I forgot to do my book report that is due tomorrow!

Thursday, April 24
It's the day of freedom! I just got early release, ( thank goodness! We were about to do book reports!) and my mom is driving me to Grand Central Station! Joe is in a huge trailer behind the car just FYI. We are there!

Thursday night, April 24
This is my best day EVER! It turned out "some random person" was my Dad and brothers just playing some birthday fun! I gave the elephant to them who returned him to the zoo. I'm so glad Joe is gone, but I will never forgive my Dad and brothers!

Mini Mystery.... solved!

I guess I didn't inspect my crime scene good enough! It turns out the bucket had tiny holes all over it!! Maybe next time I will use my brain before I ask for help! :)

American Idol

If you watch American Idol, you know this week is a big week! THE FINALLY!!!! The final two contestants are Lauren Alana-16, and Scotty McCreery -17. Who do you want to win? I want Scotty!! This season (season 10) has the youngest two contestant's in any season! Wow!! Tell me who you want to win even if you don't agree with me! Lauren is great too!

Mini Mystery

This is a real mystery !! If you can solve it, post!

It rained super hard when I was at school. When I came home, I looked in a bucket to see the rain. ( I like to poor the rain out onto the ground or play with it.) A shovel and a small bowl were full of water but the bucket was not. The small bowl and shovel were inside the bucket. My dog was also outside. Items that were in the bucket: small bowl, a shovel, and some broken plastic. There was a little broken plastic in the small bowl and a little sand that had been turned into mud on the shovel. What happened? I've got one idea! Did the dog drink the water because his water was inside? Or did he have his water outside? Hmmmmmm.

My Very Own Poem!!!

As you may or may not know, I still am in school, and a few weeks ago, we wrote poems. Here is one of my poems. Keep watching for more of my of my poems though.

My Day At The Bay

One day I went to the bay, And skipped stones in the lake. Nothing can spoil my day today! I just hope I can stay awake. Then a dog came up to me,
he was as brown as a box, he said he had a big, scratchy flea, then what came up to him? A fox! The fox said he was starving, that statement gave me chills, and then he starting carving, silverware out of hills!! He plucked the flea right of the dog, and put it on a plate, then he roasted a big, juicy frog, and fished with them like bate!! Soon after, he caught a fish, he ate it with one bite, He sure had an appetizing meal! He rapped his arms around me tight! "Thank you for my great meal, here's your frog and flea," I gave the flea back to the dog, who swallowed it with glee. Then I gave the frog to the dog, who said that he was full, So I decided to eat it, but when I swallowed it, it had a pull. When I got home my mother asked me "honey, how was your day?" I smiled at her then walked away and said "I'll tell you one day at the bay,"

This is the longest poem I've ever written!! I am so glad my awesome teacher taught it to me! I know this poem is crazy, but at least it makes sense!

Mallory and the Adventure in Pink land

Mallory sat on her bed thinking about what she had done. She had hit her sister Katie!! "I wish I could live anywhere but here!!" she yelled.

Suddenly a big butterfly came and scooped up Mallory. The butterfly flew for about three minutes then landed in a world that was all pink. "This is your new home," the butterfly said.
Mallory looked at the place the butterfly was pointing And saw nothing. Then, suddenly, a big pink, castle appeared.

After she looked around the house, she wanted to tour the town. While touring, she saw a hair salon, town hall, clothes store, and grocery store. She decided to go to the hair salon. It was called Maggie's hair.

"Welcome to Maggie"s Hair!" said a cheerful girl. Mallory looked at the name tag she was wearing and saw that she was in the presence of Maggie herself.

"Can you make my hair look pretty?" Mallory asked.

"Of course!" said Maggie. Mallory sat down in a big, pink chair. 5 minutes later, Mallory's hair was finished. Mallory thanked Maggie then headed out the door. I think I need some cute clothes to go with my cute hair, Mallory thought. She walked down the path until she reached a place called Hannah's Clothes.

"Oh la la!" said a small teenager. "I am Hannah of Hannah's clothes! Please! Let me dress you!"

"Okay," said Mallory. Hannah pulled Mallory into a small room with millions of outfits in it. Minutes later, Mallory was dressed. Mallory thanked Hannah then started out the door to her castle. When she arrived, she plopped on her bed and said "I miss my family! I want to go home!" Just then she saw a sign on the wall that said: If you need anything, go to the Town Hall and ask for Taylor. Mallory got out of bed and ran to the Town Hall. "I NEED TAYLOR!!"

Mallory cried once inside. A tall, skinny man rang a bell three times and the desk moved forward revealing an elevator. Mallory pushed the down button on the elevator and went inside. After the elevator ride was over, Mallory saw a young girl.

"Hi! I'm Taylor," said Taylor.

"I want to go home!" yelled Mallory.

"As you wish," said Taylor. In an instant, Mallory was sitting on her regular bed, and had her regular hair, and regular clothes.

"Mallory! Mom said you could get up! We're going to play Mario Kart together!"said Katie. Mallory jumped happily off her bed and joined her sister for a fun time.

Top Secret Files Chapter 1

Allie Gray sat twisting her hair and staring at Jason Price's back. Math class was the most boring part of the day. Mr. Collins always said that he would try his best to make his math lesson fun but Allie didn't think he was trying. How can reviewing long division in the 7th grade be fun?

"Allie?" Mr.Preston asked. Did Mr. Preston ask a question? Ring!! Yes!! Safe!! Let's just try to sneak past Mr.Preston without him seeing me. Her mission was successful!! Time for reading! She walked down to the reading room and sat down. Immediately Mrs. Bird started taking.

"Okay class! Today we are starting a new unit! Mysteries!" explained Mrs. Bird. "I will pair you up with a partner and give you an envelope with a "Top Secret" case. Your job is to solve your mysteries and write a paper about it. It is due next Friday. You and your partner will present it in front of the class. I will assign your partners. Emma and Garrett, Baily and Jason, Kara and Tony, Lacy and Matthew, and Allie and Mia. I will now give each group a file number. This will also be your group number. Emma and Garrett-group 2. Baily and Jason-group 4. Kara and Tony- group 1. Lacy and Matthew- group 3. Allie and Mia- group 5. You may go anywhere in the school to start your project. Dismissed!"

Wow! Mrs. Bird said all of that in two minutes!! Allie didn't want to waist any time. Mia and Allie went and sat on the bench,and started there project.

Murder committed at the Dance Square Club Friday,March 5.
Female, Carla Johnson killed.
No evidence.
Only evidence of more than one person involved.
No finger prints.
No evidence of suspect gender.
On the news.
Guilty party most likely on the run.
